Amazon-contracted plane crashes at Miami airport after overrunning runway – National

A cargo plane with Amazon’s logo overran a runway in Miami after landing, with video showing smoke and flames pouring from the plane after it came to a rest.

The U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) said in a post on X at about 3:11 p.m. that 21 Air Flight 7598 overran the runway after landing at about 2 p.m. Sept. 6.

The FAA said the Boeing 767-300 was operated by 21 Air and appeared to have an Amazon logo on its tail. Amazon started to operate some Boeing 767-300s in 2024 to support its delivery network.

Miami International Airport said Prime Air Flight 7598 was disabled at the northwest end of the airport.

Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy said the FAA was sending investigators.

The National Transportation Safety Board said it was “gathering information” about the crash.

Miami is a major airport for the southeastern United States and Latin America.

Miam-Dade Fire Rescue said more than 60 units are on scene of the incident, saying it struck multiple vehicles near the airport.

“Units arrived to find an airplane that had caught fire as a result of this crash, with heavy flames and smoke showing,” Miami-Dade Fire Rescue said in an X post. “Firefighters are working on extinguishing the fire and assessing patients.”

In a statement to Global News, Amazon said an Amazon Air plane operated by 21 Air experienced an incident while attempting to land at Miami airport.

“This is a fast-moving situation and we’re still gathering details. We’re working closely with local authorities and officials to understand exactly what happened,” Kelly Nantel, a spokesperson for Amazon said in an email. “Right now, our absolute priority is the safety, well-being, and care of everyone involved. We’re doing everything we can to support those affected.”

A Private Blog Network (PBN) is a collection of websites that are controlled by a single individual or organization and used primarily to build backlinks to a “money site” in order to influence its ranking in search engines such as Google. The core idea behind a PBN is based on the importance of backlinks in Google’s ranking algorithm. Since Google views backlinks as signals of authority and trust, some website owners attempt to artificially create these signals through a controlled network of sites.

In a typical PBN setup, the owner acquires expired or aged domains that already have existing authority, backlinks, and history. These domains are rebuilt with new content and hosted separately, often using different IP addresses, hosting providers, themes, and ownership details to make them appear unrelated. Within the content published on these sites, links are strategically placed that point to the main website the owner wants to rank higher. By doing this, the owner attempts to pass link equity (also known as “link juice”) from the PBN sites to the target website.

The purpose of a PBN is to give the impression that the target website is naturally earning links from multiple independent sources. If done effectively, this can temporarily improve keyword rankings, increase organic visibility, and drive more traffic from search results.
