G Marimuthu Death: ‘Jailor’ actor G Marimuthu died of heart attack, was dubbing TV show in the studio

Famous Tamil actor and director G Marimuthu passed away today on September 8 at the age of 58. At around 8.30 in the morning, he collapsed in the studio while dubbing for the television show ‘Ethir Neechal’. He was taken to a nearby hospital, where he was declared dead. Marimuthu was a YouTube sensation and was last seen on the big screen in Rajinikanth’s ‘Jailor’ and ‘Red Sandal Wood’. Everyone was shocked by his sudden death. He is survived by his wife Baikialakshmi and two children – Akilan and Ishwarya.

G Marimuthu was known for his outspoken opinions, which often became a topic of debate on social media. Recently he played the role of the villain’s sidekick in ‘Jailor’.

Heart attack during dubbing

G Marimuthu was in the dubbing studio when he suffered a heart attack.

According to media reports, on September 8, G Marimuthu was dubbing for the TV show ‘Ethir Neechal’ with his colleague Kamlesh. During dubbing, he collapsed in a studio in Chennai. When he was taken to a private hospital in Vadapalani, doctors said that he was dead.

The industry got a deep shock

The body of G. Marimuthu is kept in the hospital. The deadbody will be taken to his Chennai home (at Virugambakkam) for public homage, where he will be cremated. The actors who worked with him in ‘Ethir Neechal’ have reached the hospital. The industry is in grief over the death of G Marimuthu.

G Marimuthu ran away from home to become a director

G Marimuthu had revealed that he ran away from his home in Theni with the dream of becoming a director in Kollywood. He started his career as a filmmaker in 2008 with ‘Kannum Kannum’. Apart from directing films, he played many characters in Tamil films. In his early days he worked closely with lyricist Vairamuthu. He also worked as an assistant director in Tamil films.

Was also a social media sensation

Some of his memorable performances include ‘Vaali’, ‘Jeeva’, ‘Periyarum Perumal’ and ‘Jailor’. Since 2022, he was a part of the Tamil TV serial ‘Ethir Neechal’. G Marimuthu was a sensation on YouTube and used to trend on the social media platform for his opinion. The reels of his TV shows went viral on social media platforms.
